The code below causes the LED to change brightness as needed but it does not stop changing if the switch is held down. I need it to only change once each time. The light switches themselves are just illuminated buttons on a breakout board, mounted on a standard wall plate. The 4-button panel uses all 4 available data lines. The 3 and 2 button panels simply use fewer data lines. Click on the schematic for a larger version Whenever the Reed Switch gets activated (when a magnet is placed nearby), the Input pin of the Arduino changes its state to LOW. Based on the status of the switch (which Arduino reads continuously), an LED connected to the Arduino UNO will be activated. Circuit Diagram of Connecting Reed Switch with Arduino
